Itinerary
Meet on arrival at the Bandaranayke International Airport by Smart Lanka Visitors Representative & transfer for Negombo – Check in at Hotel.
The major beach resort on the coast north of Colombo is Negombo, Popularly known as the Fishing Village. Here is an old world atmosphere of 17th century churches that line the highway and forts. The feast of St. Anne is celebrated here in late July in a carnival atmosphere. Like many other coastal towns in Sri Lanka, Negombo was an important spice port long before the Portuguese set foot on the island. The Negombo Lagoon is a good place to watch the Karava fisherman at work. These fishermen bring their daily catch of fish, crabs and prawns to the fish market. During the day they are seen mending their nets on the beach.
Evening proceed to visit the Sri Muthumariamman Temple. It is one of the famous Mariamman temples in Negombo built in a facet clicking back to the syles of Dravidian architecture. The temple still remains in an old fashioned pose. The engravings of the granite architecture in the temple is what that holds a reputation to the Negombo Tamils there as one of the most powerful temples where pujas and offering made, provide benefits to the public.

Clients visit Sigiriya Rock. It’s the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.- Check in at hotel

After breakfast at hotel transfer clients to Kandy. Do a city tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts centre and a gem museum and a lapidary.
Evening proceed to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan Kandyan dancing

Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple is built by Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka. Located in Ramboda on Kandy-Nuwara Eliya Road located approximately 30 odd kilometers North of Nuwara Eliya on A-5 route facing the Kotmale Reservoir.
This botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers.
Seetha Amman Temple is located approximately 1 kilometer from Hakgala Botanical Garden and 5 kilometres from Nuwara Eliya. The temple is located in the village of Seetha Eliya This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by (Vikram) king Ravana, and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic, Ramayana On the rock face across the stream are circular depressions said to be the footprints of Rawana’s elephant.

Clients visit the Istripura / Konda Katu Gala. Istripura means an area of women in Sinhala. It is believed that this was one of the palace to which King Ravana shifted Sitadevi as a precautionary measure after Lord Hanuman advent. It is said that Sitadevi took bath in nearby stream and dried her hair sitting on a rock and put clips to her hair, hence this rock is known as Konda Katu Gala
Evening proceed to visit the Divurumpola. It means a ‘place of oath’. This is the place where Sita underwent the “Agni” test. She came unscathed and proved her innocence and purity. Divurumpola Today the temple is revered for the oath taken by Sitadevi and even the legal system permits and accepts the swearing done at this temple while settling disputes between parties.

Galle Fort, in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.

Ussangoda is a place of natural beauty and a designated archaeological site, situated on the Colombo – Kataragama road near Ambalantota – Nonagama Junction in Hambantota District of Sri Lanka. It is also a nature reserve and is located in the southern turtle breeding zones. Ussangoda is a patch of high ground by the sea and spreads over a significant area. But unlike the reset of the land surrounding, it is only covered with grasses and a few smalls pockets of pigmy forests. The summit of Ussangoda area pans like a plateau for a significant length.
Evening proceed to visit the Yala National Park. It is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public and also adjoining parks. The blocks have individual names such as, Ruhuna National Park (block 1) and Kumana National Park or ‘Yala East’ for the adjoining area. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. The park covers 979 square kilometres (378 sq mi) and is located about 300 kilometres (190 mi) from Colombo. Yala was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, and, along with Wilpattu was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having been designated in 1938. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds.

After breakfast at hotel leave for the airport to connect with the departure flight.
